Access Subscription Terms
Last Updated: May 2026
1. Service Description
Shotmap Studio Access is the web/iPad subscription product for browser and iPad/PWA access to Shotmap Studio. Shotmap Studio Access is separate from the Desktop App and Desktop License except where Included Access is expressly provided with an eligible Desktop App purchase.
2. Account and Internet Requirements
Shotmap Studio Access may require email-based sign-in, an account, an internet connection for authentication or entitlement validation, and compatible browser/iPadOS software. Some cached/offline behavior may be available after successful online validation, but online access may be required to renew, redeem, restore, or validate entitlement status.
3. Standalone Access Billing
Standalone Access is a paid recurring subscription. Current launch pricing is $11.99/month or $59/year unless different pricing is shown at checkout. Subscriptions may renew automatically according to the selected billing cycle until canceled.
4. Cancellation
Users may cancel future renewals through the account, billing provider, or Stripe Customer Portal where available. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and the user retains Access until that period ends.
5. Refunds and Proration
Subscription cancellations stop future renewals but do not automatically provide prorated refunds for unused time unless required by law or expressly approved under the Refund Policy. Refund handling may depend on Stripe payment status, chargebacks, taxes, and applicable law.
6. Free Trial Access
A Free Trial may be provided through an email trial code or trial access flow for a limited period. Free Trial access does not automatically convert into a paid subscription unless a checkout or billing flow clearly states that a paid subscription will begin.
7. Included Access
Eligible Desktop App purchases include one year of Included Access. Included Access is not a paid subscription, does not automatically renew, and does not create a Stripe subscription. Unless otherwise stated, it must be redeemed within 12 months of Desktop App purchase, and the one-year Access period begins on the redemption date. If the user already has active Access, redemption may extend the visible Access expiration date instead of creating a second overlapping entitlement.
8. Local-First Storage
Shotmap Studio Access is currently local-first. Projects and drafts may be stored in browser or installed web app storage on the device. Local Projects do not automatically sync to desktop, other iPads, other browsers, or cloud storage. Users should export project files regularly for backup and transfer.
9. Expiration and Recovery
If Access expires or entitlement validation is unavailable beyond any allowed offline period, editing, creation, duplication, and saving may be limited or disabled. Users may still be allowed to open and export Local Projects for recovery where technically feasible.
10. Acceptable Use
- Do not abuse, disrupt, overload, scrape, attack, or misuse the service platform.
- Do not attempt to bypass subscription, trial, or entitlement controls.
- Do not share credentials or access in a way that violates these terms.
11. Service Changes
Features, pricing, product names, availability, browser support, and platform support may change over time. Future cloud sync, shared workspaces, account-based storage, or team functionality are not included unless expressly released.
12. Failed Payments and Suspension
Failed payments, expired payment methods, payment disputes, chargebacks, suspected fraud, or violation of terms may result in warnings, grace periods, suspension, or termination of Access.
13. Relationship to Main Terms
These Access Subscription Terms supplement the main Shotmap Studio Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the more specific product term controls for the relevant product or billing issue.
14. Contact
Access and subscription questions may be directed to the official support contact listed on shotmapstudio.com.
